Our 2014 Thanksgiving Meal Menu – Vegan/Gluten Free

I know you guys have all been waiting with bated breath to see what we choose for our menu this year….Well…uhm…so have I.  If you’ve been connected to me through multiple means of social media you know that things have been a wee bit stressful for the past few weeks.  

As I type this I am sitting in a hotel in downtown Long Beach, California.  Uhm.  Yeah.  It’s in the high 70’s (F).  Last Monday at home it was “real feel” -9 (F). Capture I am greatly enjoying the Vitamin D.  But, am certainly exhausted.  

Because…in the past two weeks I have successfully (err – I’m not totally sure I’d go with successfully) been in every time zone in the continental United States.  I mean…day light savings was already really screwing with my internal clock so I decided to give it a huge boast by throwing it off as much as possible. At least 3am and I have become good friends, in every single timezone.  Oh.  And it’s not Thanksgiving yet?  Oy.  

 So…uhm…what does this have to do with what we’re eating for Thanksgiving?  Not a ton.  Other than the small fact that as of Sunday 11/23/14 I have … zero idea … what we’re going to eat on Thursday.  *Insert major panic moment for the perpetual planner here*. 

I’m going to give it a shot, though.  We’ll see what really happens…Make Real Food - 2014 Vegan & Gluten Free Thanksgiving Day MenuThursday meal:

We will be eating with my parents, so they will have all of the “typical” Thanksgiving fixings.  I am going to add items for Nathan and myself.  Here is my some-what-of-a plan:

I think those looks like pretty good options 🙂 

Friday Meal:

On Friday we will probably eat with Nathan’s family.  I think they’re planning to do lasagna, and if they do then I plan to bring my favorite lasagna: Spinach and Mushroom Ragu Lasagna …and maybe another one of the above mentioned Salted Caramel Chocolate pies 😉 

 So – that’s our plan.  We’ll see how it actually pans out once I’m feet-on-the-ground back on the east coast!
