Each week Amanda [Running with Spoons] hosts Thinking Out Loud Thursday. A chance for us to do some brain-dump blogging. And to hang out with fun people.

thursdaysI’m back in town! Well.  Kind of.  We’re jet-setting off again around-about the time you see this.  I had not planned on visiting all of the time zones in the continental US between November 1st and the week before Thanksgiving, but it’s happening.  Oy.

Last weekend my trip to my Grandma’s for my Grandpa’s funeral was lovely and sad and joyful and painful all wrapped up with a neat little bow.  We enjoyed spending time together, and remembered the happy times more than the sad.  IMG_20141117_103827It was fun to hear stories of a Grandpa flying planes and running a business, and to not think of a Grandpa loosing his brain, bit by bit.

I am exhausted.  And happy to be home, for a few days – at least.

Traveling did afford a good bit of knitting time.  IMG_20141112_134135And…I finished the Christmas socks!

Now I just need to decide what yarn to take with me on my trip this weekend…I added some more to the collection last week before I left town – Michael’s was having a 50% off sale, plus 25% off your entire purchase.  Danger, danger. IMG_20141111_211254

Despite it being bitter cold (*clears throat* – negative 8 (F) windchill) I have been loving fall clothes.  IMG_20141107_081426(Did I share this picture already?  Geez I hope not.  I’m losing my brain…)

Also.  These booties.  IMG_20141110_153756I had never worn short boots before – but these are so awesome.  And – mega comfy.  I did have to consult my fashion-experts on my youtube channel to ensure I was wearing them correctly.  #FirstWorldProblems

Speaking of things I am loving – this Etsy card reader.  IMG_20141106_083007In person sales?  Whoa.  That makes me feel awesome.

Alright guys.  I’m going to go spend some time with these two loves…20141114_211529(That’s what happens when you ask the Husband to send you a picture of the cat – who – apparently – did not want his picture taken!)

See you next week! …Oh…Still need ideas for Thanksgiving dinner? Check out my recipe roundup! 2014 Thanksgiving Recipe Roundup [All Vegan/Gluten Free]

  1. Hey Chelsea,

It is awesome to see a fellow WFPB blogger (with an Instant Pot) that ALSO knits! And I thought I was the only one who liked to knit her own socks while waiting for her Instant Pot to signal a delicious veggie soup is ready!

Love your recipes I’ve looked through so far. Can’t wait to try some!
