Each week Amanda [Running with Spoons] hosts Thinking Out Loud Thursday. A chance for us to do some brain-dump blogging. And to hang out with fun people.

thursdaysSome weeks you just have to take a deep breath.  And then scream really really loudly.  Same theme as last week #IsItOverYet

Hey! Happy November! Is there a November dance?  Or is it just a zombie-day-light-savings-ridden-confusion walk?  NOVEMBER! You know who loves daylight savings the most? This guy. IMG_20141103_073031And by loves it I mean he loves to MEOOOOOWWWW at all hours of the night and day since the 2am moment that the clocks turned back.  Being a cat is hard work.  Especially if you must protest general things in life so heavily.  #FirstWorldCatProblems

If you follow me on Instagram this is totally old news but…guys…THIS happened over the weekend. IMG_20141101_093154Ohhhh it would be funny if it wasn’t so so true.  We got about 4 inches in town, and about 14 at my parents house.  Yeah.  November.  Showing your teeth!

I protested the early onset of Winter by not leaving my house the entire weekend.  Except to take that picture.  Although, technically, I just opened the back door to take it.  #DoesNotCount … The entire weekend was me+fleece leggings+knitting.  In my defense, I’ll be gone all of this coming weekend.  So – much deserved.  Oh.  And these fleece leggings?  Yeah…you need some in your life.  (I found them at the dreaded Wal-Mart).

Knitting?! Yes.  Also.  First picture on the left?  Fleece leggings.  Totally couldn’t have been bothered to take them off or move them out of the way for the picture.  #WinterIsScaryIMG_20141102_090305I finished the striped socks! I adore them.  Especially that heel.  Geez it’s so so cute.  Also.  Indy didn’t care about me at all this day, until I started snapping pictures. Then he turned into MUST NUZZLE YOUR LEGS kitty.

I also started some Christmas socks… Because, November and Because, Snow.  IMG_20141105_071357I plan to do the toes, heels and top cuff in the green..and then the foot and the leg in the maroon.  I also have enough yarn to do the opposite, too.  #ChristmasSocksForTheWin

Speaking of socks…We discussed last Winter that it’s perfectly acceptable to wear pants that are too short if they’re hidden by snow boots.  What if, instead, you just wear cute knitted socks with a cable up the back?! 🙂 IMG_20141105_071727#ProblemSolved

Oh.  Did you see these Banana Pecan muffins yesterday?! You totally need them in your life.  🙂 IMG_20141104_063219Alright…I’m off to a weekend of Ski Patrol – I’ll catch you guys next week where we’re going to talk about some AWESOME gluten free and vegan Thanksgiving recipe ideas (yeah – sorry to the Canadians – why don’t you just celebrate again with us in a few weeks?!)

P.S. –

We should be friends! Find me on Twitter and Facebook

    • Hi Lisa!! We live in the mountains of North Carolina. I know, I know..North Carolina is in the south and doesn’t get any snow – but we’re the elevation exception to the state!! 🙂 We get about 40 – 60 inches a year! We usually do get one good snow before/around Halloween…and then it just keeps going from there! 🙂 I’m not ready, either!
Thank you!!!! I am totally addicted to knitting. 🙂
