Each week Amanda [Running with Spoons] hosts Thinking Out Loud Thursday. A chance for us to do some brain-dump blogging. And to hang out with fun people.

Whoa.  Hey.  Did you know?! It’s OCTOBER!  I know you guys probably think I am super surprised every single time it becomes a new month. And I always say “WOW..IT’s ____ Already!” < The truth is, time is just flying by so fast, I always am truly surprised! Plus…I Love October.  So – I’m extra happy about it! Happy October, Everyone!

And…Happy VlogTober! 🙂 < There’s still plenty of month left.  Join us!

The other morning while walking to work I walked by this post, which I always walk by…but on this day I saw this: IMG_20140930_080748Do you see that adorable little plant growing out of the top of the concrete post?  It made me smile 🙂 With everything that we’ve been through in the past few years there are still days where I feel like my head is spinning, and sometimes I still wonder what the decisions we’ve made will hold for us in the near future.  …Then I see things like this – where – despite all of the odds being against it, this plant just keeps growing, and I know everything will be okay.  #Infertility.

Erm.  Moving on.

THE CHRISTMAS PRESENTS ARE KNITTED.  Guuuuyzzz.  I didn’t think I could make myself do it.  Three solid weeks of knitting feverishly, and it’s done.  Getting to return to sock knitting was the perfect motivator.  I wanted to knit Christmas presents day and night.  🙂 It feels so good that they’re done!!! There are still a few little things I need to make, but all of the time consuming items are complete! And so … it is BACK TO SOCKS! IMG_20140928_211216^ Yes.

Also.  Speaking of addictions that aren’t knitting.  Dear Coconut Bacon:  I love you so so so much.  IMG_20140929_072512This latest batch I’ve made is so amazing. Crunchy. Salty.  Slightly Sweet.  Oh.  And garlicly.  < Best Choice Ever.  I’m working on a recipe with my modifications, but … until then … this recipe is great too 🙂

Did I tell you last week that I had a headache for 7 days?  Probably not, since I hadn’t had it for 7 days yet… Yeah.  It was kind of awful.  It finally broke Saturday afternoon and I went out on a run.  I was mega-surprised to see this number for my first mile: IMG_20140927_154916Not my record by any means, but I thought it was pretty awesome that I could get to ^ That without pushing myself as hard as possible.

This week Walking To Work has actually returned in true form.  There have even been a few Run-To-Work days… Because I need to start remembering to actually check the temperatures before I leave and I was a tad bit cold 🙂 Running fixed that, though!

Capture^ Seriously, right?!

Okkkkay.  I hope you guys are having a great week! I’ll see you next week!
