Each week Amanda [Running with Spoons] hosts Thinking Out Loud Thursday. A chance for us to do some brain-dump blogging. And to hang out with fun people.

9 / 11.  Has it really been 13 years?  Wow.  I don’t know if there are ever truly words to explain my emotions around this day.  One thing that’s been hitting me this year is that there are kids – some of them entering high school this year – that were born before 9/11/2001.  It’s so strange to imagine something that is ingrained in an immensely powerful way into my mind is simply “history” to them.  #HugTheOnesYouLove.

…On a happier note, I received my Third Stitch Fix this week!  You can read / watch all about it over here on this blog post. I am super duper in love with this vegan leather bag that they sent me.  Getting fun things in the mail makes me happy 🙂 20140903_173538

Finishing knitting projects also makes me happy.  Uhm.  Socks.  It just keeps happening.  IMG_20140907_203943Unfortunately, after finishing these socks…I must start knitting Christmas presents.  No more socks until Christmas presents are done.  Uggh.  You guys may have to hold me accountable to that.  🙂

Dedication to your job is wearing socks that match the new carpet?  #TotalAccidentIMG_20140908_123835

Someone posted a picture of these last week on Facebook and I am so so beyond excited.  I need them in my life RIGHT NOW.  Except, they apparently haven’t been released yet.  But I’m here waiting (not) patiently for when they arrive 🙂  PhotoGrid_1410182544784 #Yes.

After epic – runs the weekend before, running this past weekend didn’t happen.  Mainly because 1 – I had a ski patrol thing all day Saturday and..2 – There is a young girl missing in our town and it’s sort of freaked me out as far as running outside alone goes.  :/ BUT! I did get you guys an awesomely fun sunrise picture from Saturday morning at the ski slope 🙂 IMG_20140906_065019This picture doesn’t even do it justice.  It was so amazing that I played tourist and stopped in the middle of the road to snap the picture.  Don’t worry.  It was 630am.  No one was coming behind me.

As of Tuesday, 9/9/2014, I officially declare it fall.  bootsIt’s time to wear boots.

Did you guys see my post this week about what we buy at Costco?  We <3 Costco. If you’re a Costco shopper let us know what we’re missing out on! …Which is apparently a popular topic, since that post got more hits yesterday than any other first-day post! Way to go Costco lovers 🙂

Guyyyyyyzzz.  I got a new camera for blogging…check it out!camera🙂 Just kidding.  Circa 1995.  Oh yeah.  I was 7 then.  😉  Do they even make film for this thing anymore?!

Welp.  I think those are all of my thoughts this week 🙂 I’ll catch you guys next week!

P.S. –

We should be friends! Find me on Twitter and Facebook

    • I was majorly impressed with this Stitch Fix!!! It was awesome! 🙂

Knitting is so amazing!!!! You’ll learn quickly and be flying on to other projects! I just learned a few years back and learned pretty much everything I know on YouTube! The best advice I have is to just do projects that are fun…and challenging! I was afraid of knitting in the round for SO long, and once I learned it with a few simple patterns my knitting ability soared! 🙂 Also..if you haven’t checked out yet…you MUST. It is a huge database of patterns! Amaaazing! 🙂
