These are my eats from last Wednesday.  I always love food, but there are some days that I am simply REALLY REALLY excited about eating.  < Seriously.  That was last Wednesday.  Ex.Cit.Ed.

Breakfast – 6am-ishIMG_20140604_071324Tacos.  Oh Wow.  Remember how, above, I said I was REALLY excited about food on this day?  These tacos were the start of it.  I had them all packed up to take to work BUT I woke up SO excited to eat it, that I woke up AS SOON as my alarm went off and ran walked sleepily downstairs to eat it. < black beans and rice with salsa, chipolte sauce and Tofutti Sour Cream and lettuce all wrapped up in a yummy Quinoa tortilla shell. < Make Those Now. This breakfast was amaaaazing.

Walk to work: IMG_20140604_083008Notice my slightly annoyed face?  I’m a *bit* OCD about making sure the doors are locked at my house.  That isn’t the end of the world.  Until you’re walking to work.  And about a half mile from the house.  Yep.  I walked back to check the door.  Which was locked.  <It’s always locked.  At least I got some hill work in!

8am – Post Walk To Work Snack2014060495081101The tacos really filled me up, but I wanted *something* so I opted for some “little cute things” < When Nathan’s mom was going down hill she lost a lot of her language skills.  On one of her last admissions the nursing staff fed her these packaged apples, and she was so excited about them.  The next day she kept telling us she wanted “bags of little cute things” and it took us forever to figure out what she meant.  Now I always smile when I see them anywhere πŸ™‚

12pm – LunchIMG_20140531_194255Okay.  This isn’t what my lunch looked like.  But it was the same food.  I was so excited to eat it that I forgot to take a picture!  Kale salad (but mine had quinoa on it instead of butternut squash) and a lentil soup. I also had…2014060495122134Chinese fried rice with white sauce – Because it just LOOKED good.

After Lunch – CSA Pick Up.

IMG_20140604_133935No, I didn’t eat all of that ^! But I am excited that CSA pick up day is WEDNESDAY.  I’m hoping to remember to take pictures for you guys! This is actually just HALF of our share – because I split it with my Mum.  We got: Green onions, collards, potatoes, zucchini, squash, homemade strawberry jam (a farmer after my heart!) potatoes, strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers and kale.

3pm – Afternoon – Drag – Snack20140604_144541Caramel Truffle.  Why does this keep happening?  Because they’re so so yummy.

430pm Pre-Walk-Home snack20140604_154718Well.  I was planning on walking home.  Then I realized I had all of (above) veggies to carry.  And they were heavy so Nathan gave me a lift.  < So, no pre walk home snack.  Don’t worry.  I made UP for it BIG TIME at dinner πŸ™‚

6pm – ish – DinnerIMG_20140605_093053We sort of ate..uhm..some of everything that was in the CSA! As soon as I got home I put a big tray of kale chips on to bake < And ate almost all of them as soon as they came out.  Then, I decided to taste just one of the strawberries.  Uh…sorry, I ate them all.  < Not really sorry. THEN it was time to actually eat DINNER…which was leftover spaghetti with quinoa “meat”balls < recipe in link, plus we roasted the potatoes, squash and zucchini from the CSA.  In Nathan’s words: the most amazing potatoes, ever.  IT WAS ALL JUST SO GOOD.  < I seriously love food!

7pm – ish – Dessert2014060495175905I honestly can not stop eating these So Delicious ice cream bars.  The crunch of the chocolate and almonds.  The creamy ice cream.  Geez.  < Too bad that was the last one in the freezer :(.  < Never fear.  There will be more!

9pm-ish – Post dessert, snack?

2014060495201315I don’t EVEN know what was going on here.  I made some homemade bread, and it had JUST come out of my tender loving hands the bread maker, and there was the FRESH STRAWBERRY JELLY from the CSA.  And I just had to eat it on the WARM bread.  Oh wow.  Seriously?  < Even Nathan, who would always chose a flavor other than strawberry (< We’re still having him evaluated for that) spooned some of this jelly into his mouth.  It. Was. Amazing.

So.  There they are.  Eats on a day that I was IN-FREAKING-LOVE with food.  πŸ™‚ < It was totally lovely.

I hope everyone is doing grand.  You can click here to see other Wednesday Eats, and I’ll see you tomorrow for Thinking Out Loud Thursday!
