What I learned Friday - Lessons from a newish blogger 02.07.14

If you’re new around here, each Friday I write up a handful of lessons I’ve learned in my blogging-world that week.  Thanks for stopping by!

1 – I mentioned last week that I have started use Twitter again.  I’m really enjoying it.  I’ve also began to take full advantage of the scheduled tweets on Hootsuite.  Twitter also becomes more fun each day as new people start following me, and I find more people to follow.

2 – For those of you who scheduled tweets ahead of time – how far in advance do you schedule them?  How many tweets do you schedule in a day?  If you schedule them for a while in advance how do you keep up with what you have scheduled when (other than just looking at HootSuite) you use another program to schedule them?

3 – For the month of January I made [drumroll] $7.56 on Google Adsense.  I know it’s just pennies in the bucket, but it’s fun to see.

4 – Apparently, though Adsense has a minimum $100 payout amount.  Looks like it may be Christmas money before I get to that amount.  😉

5 – According to Pro Blog School there is still no word on if the February law changes made a difference to the Amazon Affiliate rules for North Carolina.  Still holding out hope! Or, just ready to move to another state!
