On a Journey to Love Myself and (the food in) the World Around Me.

There is an [awesome] blogger named Amanda, and each Thursday she does a roundup of [awesome] [random] thoughts.  You should join us on this journey of random-words.

1 – Before we go anywhere, watch the trailer for The Fault In Our Stars movie.  I’ll be here when you’re done crying.

2 – Go buy [or download] The Fault In Our Stars book RIGHT NOW.  And read it as many times as possible before this summer (when the movie comes out).

Now onto typical Thursday business.

1 – Uhm.  Hey January.  Where did you go? I’m having a ‘Did You Know January Ends Tomorrow?!’ moment.

2 – I got..have..rejoined? Twitter.  I had twitter for years, but deleted it about a year ago, because it was basically a montage of painful memories.  Now I’m excited to have it again, but don’t have very many people I’m following yet…so maybe you want to be my friend?! You can follow me by clicking here, or on the little side bar over –> somewhere.

3 – I’ve been kind of emotionally blah this week.  I think it’s a combination of being over winter, and being ready to know what town we’re moving to next.  Do I seize the day and enjoy the last few weeks months of winter because we’re about to move somewhere warm?  Or do I snag all the warm clothes I can find on sale now, because we’re moving somewhere even colder?  I’ve also read the foster/adopt laws for every possible state.  I starved off this obsession for a while now.  I don’t think I can stop it anymore.  Just give me the go…I’m ready.

4 – Something Happier?  This is pretty.  [Wednesday Morning]

5 – [Pending picture of new glasses that will hopefully be in the post today]

6 – I had a super – magical day skiing on Sunday.  Perfect conditions, amazing snow.  I skied the entire day.  That’s something I’ll miss, for sure!

7 – In all respects my week has been incredibly boring.  I’m really grasping at straws here to find something interesting.  Sorry!

8 – I feel like our [mine and Nathan’s] world has been super busy in the past month.  In fact, he sent me a google calendar invitation to go to wal-mart with him to pick up things we needed.  A sign of major busy?  Sigh.

9 – The other morning I went downstairs to find Indy’s bed hanging from his climbing area.  We have such a normal cat, I swear.

10 – Okay.  Sorry for the [kind of lame] brain dump this week.  I don’t even have cute socks on to take a picture of to make up for it.  :/ Maybe I’ll be in less of a funk next week.  Love to you all! 🙂

  1. Nooo! The internet in my hotel is too slow and it can’t load the trailer fast enough! Bah! I’ll have to check it when I get home because I freaking LOVED that book and can’t wait to see the movie. And stop making me jealous with all the talk of skiing. I’ve been enjoying the warmer weather in Cali, but is it weird that I’m looking forward to getting back to snowy Alberta so that I can go snowboarding again?

    • OMG BE READY IT IS THE GREATEST TRAILER EVER. Uhm, and by that, I mean it just made me want to read the book a million times and cry because the movie isn’t out yet.
I totally understand … I’d love for it to be summer RIGHT NOW. But then I go skiing. And I never want winter to end. Maybe I need to move somewhere out west, where I live 30 minutes from the snow, but not in it. 🙂 That sounds lovely!
I hope your trip was AWESOME!!!!!!

  2. Some weeks are harder than others, but we get through them! The next few weeks are going to be crazy for me – one day off for two of them…but then its my birthday weekend, so its all okay! I JUST bought the book last night & I’m starting (& finishing it?) today. It took me awhile to hunker down and buy it, but I had to finish some other books on my Kindle before I could justify it! After watching the trailer, I’m SO EXCITED and so ready for the tears. Hope you and your man can find some more time together…I know what it is like, and I hope my man and I can get better at having “dates”, no matter how big or small.
